When you attend for a test of any kind you will be told how long you should expect to wait for the results. Please bear this in mind and only call the surgery after sufficient time has elapsed.
Test results are available between 2pm and 5pm Monday to Friday. Our reception staff are not qualified to comment on results they will only inform you of any instructions the doctor has provided.
Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.
In Portugal you should be aware that medical information is not shared within the public and private sector, therefore it is important that you keep all test results and reports etc, in your own personal health file at home, so that if you change doctors or need to visit a specialist you will have these available if they need to see them. Our clinic will always give you your results back for your file, if you do not receive please contact reception.
