The International Health Centre in Albufeira gives both residents and visitors peace of mind should they need medical assistance. The surgery offers general practice with English, French, and Portuguese speaking doctors, plus a Dutch Physiotherapist\/Osteopath working several times a week, and a Psychologist and Podiatrist who also visit on a regular basis.<\/p>\n

The clinic is open Monday to Friday from 09.00 to 17.00<\/strong>. We have doctors on duty from 09.00 until 14.00 (appointment preferred) and reception work until 17.00 hours.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Our Philosophy<\/h3>\n

The surgery currently has 3 permanent general practitioners: Dr Ana Rodrigues, Dr Pedro Carmo and Dr Tiago Almendra<\/a>. A general practitioner (GP) is a medical doctor who treats acute and chronic illnesses and provides preventive care and health education to patients. GPs are skilled in diagnosis especially at an early stage of a condition. The surgery offers care to all age groups and is your family practice. A GP\u2019s job is also to know when and where to refer you if you require further investigations or treatment. This will be co-ordinated by your doctor and they will arrange the secondary care treatment with the specialist and ensure continuity, however many things can also be treated at the surgery.<\/p>\n
