    Renewing a Prescription<\/h2>\n

    If you are on long-term medication<\/strong> prescribed by one of our doctors, you can continue to renew your prescription online under the following conditions:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • 6 Months review:<\/strong> In most cases, you will be asked to make an appointment for a 6 month review so our doctors can monitor your treatment.\u00a0 They will give you a prescription for medication for 6 months.<\/li>\n
    • Should your medical condition require a more regular review, the doctor will advise you of this.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      We can only issue prescriptions for medication that has already been prescribed by one of our doctors. If your medication was prescribed elsewhere or by a specialist, please book an appointment so we can update your records before issuing a prescription.<\/p>\n

      Should you still need to request medication online, please submit your request when you have at least two weeks\u2019 supply remaining to allow time for processing.<\/p>\n

      Prescriptions are issued by the doctor as their schedule allows<\/strong>, as they must review your clinical notes, confirm your current medications, and ensure safe and accurate prescribing.<\/p>\n

      Urgent medication:<\/strong> If you need medication sooner, please book an appointment with your doctor.<\/p>\n

      Receiving a Prescription<\/h2>\n

      There are several ways to receive your prescription:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • If you have a Utente Number and Portuguese mobile number:<\/strong>\n
          \n
        • Your prescription will be sent to you by SMS<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
        • Show the text to the pharmacist to collect your medication.<\/li>\n
        • You can also view prescriptions through the SNS 24 App<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
        • This is now a paperless system<\/strong> \u2013 printed or emailed copies are no longer provided.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
            \n
          • If you do not have a Portuguese mobile number:<\/strong>\n
              \n
            • Please collect your prescription in person<\/strong> from reception.<\/li>\n
            • We are unable to send prescriptions by email.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              • If you are using a European Health Card:<\/strong>\n
                  \n
                • Prescriptions must be collected from the clinic<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
                • We are unable to send these by SMS or email.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
