For instance there are some STIs, like chlamydia, that you could be carrying without having any symptoms. You may have to try several different things before you choose the one that is the most appropriate for your lifestyle or that suits you most.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Types of contraception that may be available to you.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Pill.<\/strong> A tablet taken once a day. The oral contraceptive pill is the most commonly reported method of contraception. There are a few<br \/>\ndifferent types of pill to choose from, so it\u2019s about finding the one that\u2019s right for you. The combined pill contains estrogen and progestin and mini<br \/>\npill contains only one hormone, a progestin. The pill can have many benefits, however remembering to take it on time is a must.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Condom.<\/strong> The condom is the only form of contraception that protects against most STIs as well as preventing pregnancy. This method of<br \/>\ncontraception can be used on demand, is hormone free and can easily be carried with you. And it comes in male and female varieties.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The implant.<\/strong> A small, flexible rod is placed under the skin in a woman\u2019s upper arm, releasing a form of the hormone progesterone. The hormone<br \/>\nstops the ovary releasing the egg and thickens the cervical mucus making it difficult for sperm to enter the womb.
